Hello all, I don't frequent this part of the forum much as I'm more into Theraphosidae. I did have a chance to take some pics of David's(dactylus) scorpions today. Had fun shooting these little guys, I might have to get some myself! :D

Rhopalurus pintoi

Hottentotta jayakari

Heterometrus swammerdami

Heterometrus phipsoni

Parabuthus transvaalicus

Buthus malhommei

Grosphus ankarana

Odonturus dentatus

Rhopalurus junceus

Thanks for looking! :) -Chad

Every time I see someone who owns a Grosphus ankarana, I get excited, thinking, "This guy has a baby, maybe I could get one." Then I get really sad and depressed because I realize my chances are basically zero. I need to get one.

You'll have to wait a while for the Grosphus ankarana. A few adults were imported a year or so ago. I got a few and managed to have several broods. I don't think many of the WC adults are still kicking around, at least in the US. Mine all died. That's what you get with WC animals. What your seeing now is the first generation of offspring born in the US. Once we get them breeding regularly they should start showing up every now and then.

Nice. That Rhopalurus pintoi is sharp-looking. Never seen those before.

Very nice pics, especially considering how small some of these scorps are!

Chad did a great job of photographing some pretty tiny scorplings in many cases here. My hat is off to him as always for his excellent photographic skills! I am already looking forward to our next scorp photo session.

Beautiful R. junceus. All of them really but that one is my favorite. What is it like keeping the G. ankarana? Looks like a veracious eater.

Wow, just wow. Great shots! I really love the shot of the scorp's butthole. What kind of camera are you using if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not sure, you'd have to ask dactylus!

Here's a few I didn't post. This one is tiny, I think it's 2i. David will have to confirm that.
