caught, raised and bred those and the lunas, cecropias, i.o moths, and most of the others!

i will post a more pics of the polys/etc later this evening.
someof those arent poly's...see above.
but..there is a bit of variance amongst the poly's..as they are from different areas.
[and there were some unusually small poly's occasionally, not sure why.]

Pepsis is a strictly New World genus. Hemipepsis occurs throughout the Old World and is represented a little in the New World/Americas (definitely not as many as Pepsis though).

Looks GREAT!

I still haven't bought much of my insect pinning stuff just the preserving stuff and some little glass vials, I'm more into the. Mounting ants! Its probably more work to pin Moths/Butterflies.

 *Gasp* Those are absolutely gorgeous! Do you know the names of all the species of butterflies that you have in those pictures? I wanna know because they're some specimens that I've never seen before and would like to know more about them if you know the names.

But dude.......Can I live with you please? :D I'm not joking on this one either. I wanna see your house. I'm loving what you've posted so far and would love to see more. Sorry for the long absence, school caught up with me again. I'm in love!

So if you can give me a list of the species names that you know that would be great.

Not a problem ted ; ) We might as well merge our threads. haha. Looking forward to more of your pics.

I also have some of the names posted on my site. I haven't had time to get all of them back up there but if you check back frequently I'll have more up soon.

http://butterflymounts.com just head over to the gallery section and you'll see the close up shots along with the names if I posted them up.

Black Widow, what part of NYC are you from?

We finally started production of our new acrylic mounts. Aside from a few minor details that need to be attended too I think the prototype is looking very good.

We were testing multiple cements to see which would work best and found one that actually bonded and dried clear.

This mount is particularly dirty but aside from that I think it looks pretty good.

*Gasp* That is beautiful! Is that a Filipino Swallowtail? You're making me want to break into your house and live there with all those insects and spiders for a few wonderful years.

Yes I said years. :D Seriously though how did you obtain such a beautiful butterfly? And was my guess that is was a Filipino Swallowtail right? If not could you tell me what species it is? I wanna do research on it. I ♥ this one alot!

It is a swallowtail from china, more specifically Papilio bianor or "The chinese peacock"
