Tried to get some pics of him but when we took the lid off the enclosure, he bolted and fell. Looks like several legs are broken and there's a little blood. Rob is using some liquid band-aid right now (his wife is typing this) to try to help him...doing what he can for him. He is so upset...as am I. It's so sad...we're both in tears and hoping for the best. We took some video and will be posting a new thread... Rob's already blaming himself so please, no flaming (not that anyone would, but you never know)...lesson learned. Getting some good pics of a post molt just isn't worth it....
Oh, so sorry, those are very skittish flighty litle things:(

I've had A. seemanni for a while now.

When I looked up info on them the males they looked just like yours.

the sexual dimorphism when males mature can be quite astounding.

My jet black and bright orange P. irminia male suddenly was an extra fuzzy grey ghost.

So from what I see.
I see no reason to doubt it's an A. seemanni
But I'm not familiar with the other species.

Was there doubt/questions before hand?

I see no reason at all to think it is A. borealis. That looks like a seemanni both before and after the molt into maturity.

hmm

That looks interesting. I had a MM A. Seemani a while ago that looked different from the rest of the MM A. Seemani. It was desert sand colored all over. If you don't remember, he laid his sperm web (caught him doing his thing) and covered every inch of the ground with web and was always walking about and about. The weird thing is that he had NO hooks and NO punching bags. He was rescued along with the G. Rosea. Both dehydrated and well underfed. Eventually both t's died. I had come to the conclusion that the people that had them before me bust has literally cut the hooks off an the pedi's looked shorter as well from all the picks. The A. Seemani was about 5.4" (took the confirmed measurement) and thats big enough for a MM of that Sp. He could have had a bad moult but chances are at least one hook or P.B (punching bag) would still be there.

yeah the T you have looks exactly like the one I got a while back for a co-workers grandson, and those post molt pics are awesome! I am excited to hear what we have.

Can you post some more post molt pics?
OK, the three of us have Ts that look like this and they're all male. Could that have something to do with it?
