I figured it was some kind of feeder. It just seemed improbable that a small sling could munch through the screen . Do T's even have the ability to do that, don't they lack any type of teeth or jaws to bite through it? I figured it would be pretty hard for a T to do any damage to the screen with only 2 fangs.

You're welcome, Ethan. ;)

Yeah I wondered if you'd recognize those guys. They're coming along beautifully.

Actually i've heard of this happening plenty although not with a sling. T's have amazingly powerful fangs and can bite right through some things we'd need tools to cut. I recall a story I heard on here about a T blondi chewing his way through rat wire lid.

ummmm...now I'm nervous. I don't even think the screen that I use has wire in it.... I might have to bust the hot glue gun out and put a couple more layers of screen on lol.:)

What are you using, that fiberglass screen material like is pictured at the beginning of this thread? If so then yeah, you may want to get something stronger. If they can get through 1 layer of that stuff they'll get through several. Be they plastic jar tops, plexiglass cutouts or kk lids I use only solid tops for spiders bigger than a sling (say 2"+). I have on the other hand seen evidence of my B albo, E murinus, P cancerides and A anax all scratching and chewing at their lids.
