Hey,
I am getting a A. Amazonica soon but am having a hard time finding a care sheet. I have 2 Avics as well as 8 other Ts already. Is care similar to an Avic Avic or C. Versicolor?
I guess for my records are Amazonicas terrestrial or arboreal? New or Old world? Finally, what's their DLS as adults?

NEVER READ CARE SHEETS!!!!

Care sheets kill tarantulas.

Care for all avics and relatives is exactly the same. There is a great thread here with all the info you need.....shouldn't be too hard to find.

All avics are arboreal....likewise, they are all from S. America.....making them New World.

what's their DLS as adults?
They're one of the larger Avics....7" for adult females.

Short version:
1. Dry sub
2. Waterdish
3. Lots of cross ventalation
4. Lots of clutter (such as fake plants) near the top of the enclosure.

Edit: Typos

BTW- they aren't called amazonica any longer, their species name has been selected by scientists.
They're now considered a morphotype of A. variegata. I got my girl as Avicularia sp 'amazonica' (Manaus).

They're NW arboreals like any other Avic.

Read the links that @Greasylake provided in regards to care, these have the best feeding response out of any Avicularia species I've kept.

Unsure of max size but they're meant to be one of, if not the largest species in the genus.

Yes, they are, which gives them a species name. I was hoping by NOT including the name it would spur the OP into actually looking it up.
