And for some reason I can't fathom after a ozone storm in there the springtails pop explodes. I hit it with ozone once or twice a week.

This thread is amazing. I am a reptile guy who has recently become fascinated by these crabs. I will be bookmarking this and following along.

I put some more info up in the Moon crabs thread on other crab species. The vampire crabs are a bitch to get healthy specimens I mean that's just the truth, you catch good shipments between bad ones. Moon crabs, patriot crabs, any cardiosoma sp are far hardier and arrive in far better shape. The places I listed are good on resending crabs or refunds so no worries with them now as to them being healthy well.........that's a crap shoot on these vampire crabs.
