That is 101, actually.. she -

- makes 102 {D

So, I ended up "in the middle" of a trade... and became the designated person to unpack 102 slings :D

Waaait.. why was I excited about that? :? lol

I mean, that is a LOT of deli cups...

Filled with dirt, it looks like EVEN more!

This is how they were packed.. so cute and organized!

All my supplies! That little space in the middle.. that's for me lol
I was woken up and "virtually" dragged out of bed... and unpacked slings in PJs lol

Most of the slings - oh, I should mention they are G. rosea - were cooperative... I got into a good groove of things eventually.

Annnd TWO hours later..

ONE LEFT!

And then... ALL DONE!

81 of the slings, that will be going to the "tradee" (the other 21 slings were for me :D)

And I was proud of myself, the time I transferred 14 slings in one hour.. sheesh! :wall:

Yup, those are drinking straw pieces.

To find out how long it took to get them INTO the straws - ask Redneck (he packed em) lol

The terms of the trade, are between Redneck (Tommy) and sharpfang (Jason).. The slings ended up with me, because Tommy needed to ship them out, but realized he didn't have Jason's address and couldn't get ahold of them, so they ended up with me since I live near Jason and could deliver them :)

Yeap... The mother was a LPS find.. My first T... 30 days after keeping tarantulas I was surprised with an egg sac.. 250 down to 109.. :( Not sure if that was a good survival rate or not..

*Edit* And it only took me about.. 3-4 hours to pack all of them.. *Whew* Back was a little sore afterwards.. :D

What a nice thing to do Teal!

And Redneck, you did really well considering this is the first time you've had a T with a sac. Nice job. I applaud you all.

That was a lucky survival rate if you ask me. What are you going to do with all those G. rosea?

Just out of curiosity.. How is that a lucky survival rate? I worked really hard keeping them alive.. I thought I was doing good as a complete newb..

I traded the slings for some other critters.. Gave some to Jairi.. I also gave some to a buddy of mine..

That is a TON of slings. o_o
So that box with all the individual slots, bead box? I've always thought about using though for slings.

Jake - Take your pic! Want individual photos of all "mine" to choose from? :p

Ariel - I wasn't going to say anything about it (because now I feel stupid lol)... but since you mentioned the box, I will. I put a sling in each compartment.. opened up the container a few hours later.. just in time to see one sling grabbing another. Apparently, one had managed to squeeze through the MINUSCULE space between the lid and dividers :(
So, I separated them all into deli cups like I have Jason's.
I have another divided container, and I just put beads of hot glue on the dividers to eliminate any gaps :) so I might try that with this one and stick them back in there.

Thanks Laura.. glad you liked it :) Before I did it, I had wanted it on video.. but two hours later, I think yall mighta been a little bored of watching lol

That really sucks. :( Thats what I was worried could happen. I also wonder how it is when you open it, because its basically opening every container at once. May be best to stick with delis
