...one as many arboreal species of tarantula have adaptations to specific habitats off the ground. A few examples being Pachistopelma bromelicola are adapted to live in bromeliad plants, Stromatoplema calceata are found high up in the palm trees and make their retreats in the palm leaves...

Are P. bromelicola kept similarly to Avicularia?

I have a Pachistopelma bromelicola sling in my collection right now very very beautiful species as slings. I care for mine pretty much the same way as my Avicularia sp and just like some Avics they don't have the best feeding response. You also need multiple places for them to use as a hide such...

Are P. bromelicola kept similarly to Avicularia?

I am really fascinated by how Pachistopelma species have adapted to living in bromeliads and I'd like to try keeping some in planted vivs with live bromeliads (means the overall humidity would have to remain about 40-60%, higher inside the brom). But if they're really rough with specialized...

Did you ever successfully produce EWLs of Pachistopelma bromelicola? If so how large was the sac and what type of disposition did this species have in your care?

Oh no their growing on me

I was the same and only kept terrestrials up until earlier this year, apart from an Avic. avic I had almost a decade ago. I got a P. ornata and P. regalis that were given unsuitable living conditions from a couple of pet stores. That was it. Now the rooms packed with Psalmos, got couple Avics...
