...25 scorpions, so this is fairly worrying. To clean the terrariums I use F10 SC veterinary disinfectant and isopropyl alcohol; I have used bleach solution on some of the furnishings in the past, but I always rinsed them very well (including a run through the dishwasher, without detergent), I'm...
You mean you want to kill the animals on the material but not the organisms. So you want a method that is able to tell the difference between the two. The only method that comes to mind is immersion in nitrogen gas for an extended period of time. Plants and most organisms tolerate it but the...
...ones with just plants, or for phasmids) but since it's decomposing I want to sterilize it.
I've seen people using soapy water and bleach to sterilize wood, but I don't want to kill mosses and lichens since they're very natural-looking.
I thought about using just boiling water to get rid of...
Yes she was bright blonde till her recent moult where she decided to become a brunette 😆 I assume as she gets further from her moult she will bleach out again 😊
...again. Maybe none of this is helpful but it's mostly just to show I do my best and there's plenty to stress over.
I'm typically avoidant of bleach as I can't handle the smell and I don't really find it useful - using it on mold for example will make it no longer visible, but it doesn't...

My question is: If I have enclosures that I plan to use in the future, can I wash them with bleach now? By future I'm talking at least a month...
In that case, better to keep it simple. Get a nice vertical enclosure with low and top vents, so the air keeps circling, even if there isn't any external air current to help.
Decoration wise, use a hollow cork tube or flat bark and clutter the top with leaves. You can use a tall fake plant to...
...Yeah, any natural wood that came off a tree with a thick trunk is hardwood. But that piece you have has been treated, probably has lacquer and bleach saturated into it. Just go find some unprocessed stuff in nature. There are tons of good threads about millipede substrate and food on this forum.
...size for a different T.
We suspect your stirmi passed due to injuries but not totally sure correct?
If that's the case you would want to get rid of the substrate, disinfect with a 10% bleach solution, rinse very well. Let it dry, and start all over with fresh substrate. Better safe than sorry.
