I had been eyeing Vinegaroons.net (the daughter company of Bug Pets USA, run by the same owner) for a few months-- its assortment of US-native Mastigoproctus species and instars greatly appealed to me, especially how many were captive-bred.
Recently, I wanted to order more vinegaroons, so when I saw Vinegaroons.net's steep discount sale on baby/juvenile individuals, I couldn't resist. The price was unbeatable and I wanted to try my hand at keeping subadults, so I bought three Mastigoproctus sp. "Texas" juveniles (3rd or 4th instars). I was feeling confident about my purchase-- I had ordered from Bug Pets USA before and was looking forward to another successful shipment.
My vinegaroons arrived today (April 17) in excellent condition; they were securely packaged and were active and inquisitive the second I opened their deli cups. All three are currently resting in holding tanks and seem to be healthy and normal, albeit a bit exhausted.
I highly recommend Vinegaroons.net to those interested in purchasing Mastigoproctus within the United States, especially captive-bred ones. The service is great, and so are the animals. And if you're interested in different arthropods, Bug Pets USA has a much greater variety while retaining the same spectacular service. I will definitely be ordering again!
