@Little Grey Spider I'd be willing to bet they are under $200 within just a couple of years. The Europeans have figured out a lot of the tricky stuff, and I know there are some things Palp Friction has worked out too. There's certainly no danger of them failing to recover their initial investment, but I bet these guys drop pretty quickly.
However, I do feel that only a certain amount of their value is centered in their newness and rareness. What I find so valuable about them won't change, that is their charming arboreal trapdoor habits, and their incredible beauty. If they were $5 on the shelf next to an LP sling, I would still feel that they were something rarefied and lovely.
@Dovey yes, they are stunning. While perusing Instagram I "save" species that I'd like to own. Months and months ago I saw a pic of one on Ali's profile I think.... and I didn't even know what it was but I was like "I need this." Same with H. pulchripes. I see many people say they'd rather have a P. murinus.... I think H. pulchripes are stunning creatures. In my opinion, far more beautiful than an OBT. And I think P. rufilatas are gorgeous, but lord I am never getting another Poecilotheria. Oh, I want a Grammostola grossa too. I want them all.
@Little Grey Spider I've decided to start a rumor that you are a famous actress who shall remain nameless, since your profile is private! I keep wanting to start conversations with you, but we're not allowed to. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was I think we have very similar taste and spiders. So why don't you want to own another pokey, aside from the fact that they poop where they eat, namely, everywhere!
