Taxidermy desert enclosure for M. balfouri :)

A desert themed enclosure for two small M. Balfouris featuring a real raccoon skull with five spine vertebrae and tail bone, two small air plants, tumbleweeds and Eco-Earth.

One of the M. balfouri has webbed inside the skull cavity and eye sockets just like I hoped :)
I was thinking about skulls for hides and bones for decor. Come across them in the desert occasionally. My favorite hide at present is a tin can some hiker of ages past left out after opening with a knife opener. Looks like a flower, but I had to varnish the "petals" so their edges wouldn't be sharp. Scull is better.

Now that I have tarantulas, I'm always on the look out for things that would make unique, interesting and suitable hides :cat:

My favorite ever was a wee plastic Scooby Doo toy Mystery Machine I saw on line somewhere. Got me thinking more creatively than the old half coconut solution.
