I agree. When I got her, I had just lost my last dog, and we were really tight, so I spend a good year pretty depressed...so while I saved Dolly, in a way, she saved me as well
@cold blood It just doesnt get easier when they pass my man . My last rescue passed In october last year.. Then I met this guy and he was due for sleep injection. Even as a pup noone took him because he was wild in the cell. No one is theirself if kept in a cage. He is now a gentleman but still a pupper so gets hyper when meets new folk thats about it.
I will say, dogs like ours take a ton of work and the right person. I have no doubt dolly would have been put down years ago had she lived in most other places, the amount of time and consistency can be daunting for most owners....I know I can fix just about anything, so I am willing to take on the work. And as you know, its ALWAYS worth it!
