Poor bby A. minatrix bad molt :c

Poor little guy only has 4 legs left, buy only 1 is fully functional. 1 is in the molt still and 2 are messed up from hardening in the molt.

Assuming it lives, should I amputate the leg stuck in the molt still, the front right leg? Will the old molt cause problems when it molts next time?
I'd say leave it since losing legs is likely more stressful than having a messed up one. The small loss of hemolymph might have a slight negative effect considering how many legs were already lost too but I'm not sure.

@Trenor Thanks!
Right now I have it in a small well ventalated container (more cross-ventalation than normal) with damp papertowels instead of cocofiber.

Im just worried with the old exoskeleton still stuck over its front leg, it may cause it to get stuck in the next molt.

@N1ghtFire I can understand that. I just think it'd likely get injured worse trying to remove it than leaving it to the next molt. Keep an eye on those paper towels IME they are prone to really holding moisture close the T which could make it damper near the T then you might want.

Good luck with the little fella. :)

@Trenor Do you think itd be better if I did one side with dry paper towels and one side damp? It cant move much, but it should be able to hobbly from one side to the other. Lol

I can do cocofiber, i was just worried it may irritate the fresh wounds since it cant climb or web like it normally would. Maybe switch to cocofiber when it hardens up.

Provided the paper towels are moist it shouldn't dehydrate or need any changes to the enclosure right now It just needs to be left alone

Yeah, I'd not more it for a few days till it's had time to harden up. Just take care with how wet the towels are.
