Namirea insularis

Euagridae family.
Such beautiful spiders! Can't say ive heard of this species but im grateful to be finally getting 2 Plannipes again in the next few weeks

Nice! N.planipes is an excellent species. This one is found on the QLD/NSW boarder. Tweed heads.
I think i might know a collector close to that general area, ill see if he comes across any!

Having a lot of difficulty pairing my Australothele Nambucca's though, had 2 consecutive nights of the male sitting still for 4 hours. Thinking ill put my female in a large fish tank so he has a bit more room to maneuver and gains confidence

Yeah, I’m receiving a male nambucca in the mail this week, as well as another female specimen. Will try and pair my freshly moulted girl first, fingers crossed!

My only advice based on previous attempts is do not take your eyes of either for a second. My first male last year took 4 hours before beginning to drum, and the females try to absolutely smash them. My personal guess is the males lock up because they know if they move they'll be eaten. Ive seen hundreds of wild webs absolutely filled with male remains 😖 definitely give her a setup that allows plenty of space for both to bolt

Thanks for the advice, will definitely fatten her up before pairing.
