Ventral sexing is never 100%. Abdomen size has little to do with sex and more to do with appetite/feeding. The lower book lungs on your specimen are pretty close together, indicating male. Here's a pretty good link for you http://milehighbugclub.com/Methods for Sexing Tarantulas.htm
