The fact that you care for the animal for a year without knowing what species it is shows that you ultimately have no idea... Do the spider a favor and take the tips. Your observations are irrelevant. Someone could keep you in a tree for a year and then report: yes, it still moves, sometimes it chews on the bark, but it makes a good impression... even though you belong to a couch-dwelling species...
you already have the enclosure (which is for an arboreal) If you can fill it with dirt without it spilling out the doors (or lock the front doors and go through the top) it will dig an awesome burrow
