Suspected on what basis? The sceptic in me thinks it might be on the basis of females generally pricing better, but maybe I'm wrong and they were a reasonable price either way.
This image says male to me, but I don't have a tonne of experience vent sexing so could be reading it incorrectly.
Honestly, the pic is a little too blurry to be confident so it'll be best to wait until it molts to confirm. If the seller charged a premium because it's "suspect" female, then hopefully they'll be willing to renegotiate if it turns out to actually be male. From the looks of it, the wait should be relatively short...
