Hi guys I’m fairly new to keeping Ts and have heard a ton about mites.. I ordered this homoeomma chilense from fear not tarantulas about a month ago it molted once and just today I realized there were a few white dots on it as well as on the feeder I put in there for it a few hours prior
I’d make a a thread on this and zoom in closer to the spider I can’t see the mites.

I tried taking so many pictures and could never get a good one there is a small white dot on one of its front legs and a few I saw in the substrate and on a cricket leg I had put in there a few hours prior

Put some mushroom in, just a small piece, the mites will be attracted to the mushroom not the t . Change the mushroom out everyday till you have no mites then change the viv just to make sure they are gone . I just had this problem with a Davus sp panama I ordered , was totally infested when she came but now only has one or 2 stuck to her but compared to the hundred she came with the mushroom trick has worked well . It's a slow process but does work wonders. You just have to be patient and swap the mushroom out every day . Gl to u n the little chilli 😊
