Help with my new A. Avicularia, boy or girl?
Can you tell by this picture if it is male or female and explain why. I'm trying to learn and can't get the hang of it. Thank you in advance.
The best way to get more familiar with identifying them, is to go through the image library and see the comments that members make on other people's photos and compare those to your photo. I have found that extremely helpful.
It is best to always confirm with a moult, as ventral sexing is often not accurate. I'm going with female, because of the white 'moustache' of hairs. I don't know the size of this one, but this is my female when she was 3.5" as a comparison...

Thank you Vanessa. I was hoping for a male. My fiancee has one that we swear is female. She webbed herself into a hammock and jiust molted recently. I'm going to have that molt looked at this weekend. Thank you again for the advice.
