Bought her at a pet store (mistake I won't be making again) about a year ago. Sold to me as a "rosehair", but after I've seen more tarantula vids, she looks different from other g. rosea and I wonder if they sold me a mislabeled spid. Heck, they sold it to me pregnant, wouldn't put it past them.
Looks like Grammostola sp. north to me, which is often sold as a rose hair along with multiple other sp.'s. @Exoskeleton Invertebrates knows his stuff, maybe he'll drop by.
@Ghost56 Thanks! I suppose we'll see what they have to say. And yes, I've actually been expecting a molt for quite some time. Every time she seemed to be getting ready, it'd never happen, haha. But it would explain why she doesn't feel like eating recently.
@Manga Rachnid Ya, that's grammastola for you, could be next week or another year...lol. Abdomen looks pretty dark though so I'd say it shouldn't be too much longer.
@Ghost56 I take it grammastola is the lazy type spood, lol. I suppose I should get a cam ready, been waiting for this for quite some time! Mounting the molt will be fun too!
