"Cryptic" my male tarantula picked up from a LPS. Sold as a G.pulchra though I speculate him to be a G.sp "formosa" Very docile, always out and never thrown a threat pose, capable of bolting rather quickly when motivated.
Doesnt look like it has enough white hair to qualify it as a formosa. That's my guess anyway.
 
@efmp1987 ah yeah I see what you mean. A little confounded on what he may be, under the impression G.pulchra are jet black at this size. Also told this T was slightly over an inch this May, so he did some crazy growing to be this large now
 
@kstrl At 3.5 they are but juves. They tend to have grayish undertones as juvies, and molt into the jet black adults that we are all familiar of. Notice the Femur and the abdomen proximal to the prosoma and it's more velvety black with sparse setae.
 
I'll def. look forward to his molt as that'd help clear up his coloration for me.
