My two G. pulchras also just molted within the past 5 days.
The male was 9 months since his last molt. His premolt was only about a couple of weeks. He only skipped one meal then molted.
The female was 17 months since her last molt. She was in premolt for 3 or 4 months.
I'm not sure exactly, but I know she's been refusing food for a few months, and a couple of days before molting, she began laying down her molting mat.
She didn't fast for too long, but I also don't feed her that often, because it is easy to create an obese pulchra.
