An awesome species for sure, I'll be keeping a handful of slings myself if my male is successful in his pairings. Would be nice to actually observe that trapdoor behavior lol.
I remember my big Rubiseta made a trapdoor entrance for about a week and then utterly destroyed it one night. In fact, he hated it so much he completely relocated to the other side of his container. Was hoping I'd have an I.Mira knock-off for a little longer but it was enjoyable for the week it lasted
@Ungoliant these guys are awesome. Probably my favorite baboon simply for that trapdoor characteristic. I know its feeding time when those liitle blue feet are peeking out of the sub. Then its a mad dash to grab the food and, if im lucky and she cant get in right away, watch her struggle to keep hold of her meal whilst trying to open up the lid and get back in.
rehoused my sling recently- maybe a molt older than yours, took a few days and eventually made a burrow and door... and then first feeding I watched it come out, attack, and struggle to find the door it made for 10 minutes with cricket in mouth LOL
