A picture I took a while ago and cropped to make it easier to see. The thing is really tiny. I'm just wondering what the spider is though. Crab spider of some sort? Also, this is my avatar picture.
Wow that’s really small, which may make sense since it’s pretty early for them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a species of crab spider, especially when looking at the structure of the first set of legs
I'm not an expert either, but it almost looks like a Long-Legged Sac Spider (Cheiracanthium mildei) juvenile. Saw a lot of webbing and crab spiders are not know for their web spinning.
@MikeofBorg well crab spiders do sometimes leave trails of silk that acts as a sort of safety line for gusts of wind plus this was taken in October which is pretty late for juveniles
