Eresus doesn't have hooks - I think you mean emboli and I see what you mean. It's strange, though, because they don't slowly develope those - they get them with their last molt or not.

I do think this will be a male, cause on a female they are slim all the way, also in slings.
But yeah this is very strange, I thought it came with the last molt aswell.
@Ungoliant Thanks for the information, I wasn't sure. I'm already planning on getting another E walckenaeri sling, I really wanted a female (not that I don't appreciate the cool colours of the males. :3
