Nothing wrong with the enclosure to me......just need alot more substrate. The higher the enclosure, the deeper the substrate should be so if it wants to climb, it won't fall and break a leg or worse.....die. Tarantulas have delicate limbs/body. A fall from a few inches could be a bad outcome. Just my opinion.
My Grammostola digs her whole enclosure. I would put much more substrate in it.
I put a loamy substrate in mine so she can dig without the danger of collapse the caves.
@ispectechular terrestrial Ts belong in tanks set up for terrestrials, so they don't fall down and go SPLAT. Either increase sub height, get a new setup, or turn it on its side- someone did a mod for such a tank, you could do too.
