@Trenor yeah a lot of breeders and keepers are already using the new name. They're being a bit irresponsible as EulersK thinks. It's just causing unnecessary confusion.
@Trenor tbh the fact that they're changing the name is utterly perplexing to me. It's not a genus switch, it's literally just a different word for the species. How on earth this will help anyone identify the two species better is beyond me. As long as they're in the correct genera, their species names are perfectly suited to whatever they are. Why was the G. aureostriata changed to G. pulchripes? Especially since "aureostriata" means "golden stripe" and "pulchripes" is just a made-up word? I'll never know.
