I'm starting to worry the female I bought is actually a male. I've been looking at photos and reading sexing tips online, but males and females still look the same to me. I was told the T has a smaller abdomen than usual since it recently molted
Ventral sexing is never 100%. Abdomen size has little to do with sex and more to do with appetite/feeding. The lower book lungs on your specimen are pretty close together, indicating male. Here's a pretty good link for you http://milehighbugclub.com/Methods for Sexing Tarantulas.htm
