caught in the wildomar area of southern california, does not match any pictures ive found of local spiders im thinking it might be a baby T it is about 1.5" (or 4cm ish) it is black but looks kind of blue in the light ty for any help
I believe that your spider is in the genus Calisoga (formerly Brachythele) and in the family Nemesiidae (formerly Dipluridae). Although the common name is funnel-web tarantula, it is not a true tarantula.
