They made me revisit my top recommendations for the best first T. If you can find a sub adult female (3-4 inches) for the right price (70-100 USD) that would be a top pick for the first tarantula. They're gorgeous, chill (almost friendly), and hardy AF. Not the most exciting feeding response but that's not a deal breaker considering their other qualities.

They definitely are gorgeous Ts and being chill and calm is just the cherry on top.
Her pedipalps are fine, but their pedipalps are shiny black and not colored like their regular legs. In this pic she kept wandering around slowly and her leg is obscuring her other pedipalp. Here are a couple pics that show the pedipalps:
