Thanks for the mention! OP actually already contacted me about this specimen, and he knows its not a C. vonwirthi, but we're both unsure of whether this is a C. minax or C. sp. "Big Black". I don't own a C. sp. "Big Black" yet, and don't know the differences between those two, so I wouldn't be able to give him a definite ID. Heck, it's possible that my specimen is a C. sp. "Big Black" and not C. minax. He told me that she's freshly molted, and my C. minax was in her burrow when she last molted, and I wasn't able to get a nice, clean look at her until weeks after, so I wouldn't be able to compare any of my most recent photos to this
@Pluralbert I doubt it's minax, might not even be Haplopelma/Cyriopagopus. The shape of the carapace seems more oval which may indicate Ornithoctonus. Although the specimen in question is at an odd angle. Haplopelma/Cyriopagopus are characterized by the whiskers or thick bristles down the side of the chelicerae so get a picture of that so we can first determine if it is even the correct genus.

I'm pretty sure Volker von Wirth determined hobby sp. Big Black is a vonwirthi. If @Pluralbert is on facebook maybe send this Von Wirth's way? He'll at least be able to say what it isn't. He is currently working on the revision of this genus.

It’s so relieving to here that somebody’s working on it. The whole subfamily Ornithoctoninae is in desperate need of a revision.
And I’ve also heard that sp. “Big Black” is a color form of vonwirthi, but since most people differentiate the two, I do as well, simply to avoid confusion.
