Brachypelma Auratum

Juvenile male
@Mitch yes this is normal. Mine are the same. They will refuse food for a long time after a moult then only accept smaller prey and less regular feeds before refusing for the next moult. Try using waxworms and superworms as feeders to help with fluids and fatten the T. Some auratum are fat and others slender. Both of mine have small abdomen after moult. It takes time to bulk them up again.

The fact they have a small abdomen means they are more likely using it to grow more with each moult. Both my auratums abdomens half in size after a moult but the get a very good stretch.

As long as they have access to water after a moult they should be fine. Then depending on size of the T introduce prey after 1-4 weeks. All should be well as it is hard to starve a T.

@KezyGLA ah thanks for the reply. Yeah that sounds pretty much as my auratum. Mine had a pretty massive change in leg span her last moult and I was a 100% sure this one was a male since her growth rate seems quite fast for an Brachypelma.

@Mitch don't let them fool you aha. I think its female. But having said that, try get the next exiviae before it gets destroyed. Get a close up of spermathcae and you will know for sure
