Sold to me as a MM but it is definitely not that. i haven't quite figured out vent sexing but trying to go off the tutorial i found, i question if it is even a male.
This is 'him' kinda at an angle. so the leg that extends furthest to the right in the picture is the left leg of his first pair. didn't get the best angle of the palps but you can see them too. http://arachnoboards.com/gallery/grammostola-pulchripes.50175/
@KezyGLA When i commented about that to the seller he said that it had the hooks last molt and they should be larger now...
So i'm not sure what they were talking about. Only thing i can think of is the tarsal claws, or just getting screwed over - but why would anybody sell a female as a male? The other way around i would understand, because of the financial aspect of male vs female...
Lets just say that yesterday wasn't quite what i expected it would be...
instead of a mature, ready to mate pair i got two adults (if the other one pulls through) that each may or may not be either sex, but i am leaning toward female for both.
@Theneil Oh, those are the ones you posted yesterday? Does that mean the dead looking one wasn't completely dead? I agree with @KezyGLA here - I'd rather think female than male but the pic's not clear enough.
And that seller, really... he should stick with his day job...
@boina
Yep. same female. i went to look her over later yesterday to try to find the fatal injury and while i had her upside down and was moving her legs around, i noticed the tiniest little bit of movement from a couple of her other legs so i immediately began to provide hydration about every 1/2-1 hour and she began gradually regaining motion control. i'm glad i decided to take a closer look or she would have been just left for dead.
