Yeah I figured it wasn't what they said, I know tarantulas change as they grow but this seemed very off

Make sure you adapt the enclosure accordingly, since C. versicolor is an arboreal T

I just rehoused them, luckily I had an old Arboreal enclosure around

I am in the UK but these PetCo stories seem to crop up a lot for poor ID and husbandry methods.
Yep, C versi juvenile. Those chevrons on the abdomen will dissappear with age to reveal a nice shiny red Rump.
