Avicularia Minatrix

This is the lil one I picked up from a Petco. It was labeled Avic. Avic. lol. Pretty darn sure that is a Minatrix.
Can't really see it in the picture but his hair has a copper hue to it. Also that pattern on the butt... I have not seen any avic. avic. with that pattern so distinct. If you hold its pattern next to the pattern of a minatrix its identical. The pattern on the butt has a purple hue to it as well also not visible in the picture. Maybe he is a versi? I think versi's lose that pattern when they get to this size though. Ill measure him... hes beyond sling stage.

Or maybe the Urticans? I just found some pictures of the Avic Urticans and they also have that pattern on them.

It's not a minatrix.

@Grimsin Countless Avics have that pattern as slings, juveniles, and sometimes even subadults. There's pretty much no way we are gonna be able to ID it correctly.

@Grimsin Every picture I've seen of a minatrix, the black vertical lines connect to the center line. I know avics are really hard to identify from a picture so I can't really help much with that, but I'm somewhat confident it's not a minatrix. There's also quite a bit of purple there, maybe it's sp. peru purple?? I think viper is good with avics, maybe he has an idea. @viper69

I agree 'peru purple' is a good suggestion. I highly doubt minatrix as black lines dont run to the centre line on abdomen. And @viper69 is your man for this ;)

@Grimsin @KezyGLA @Ghost56 Thanks guys, much appreciated. This is NOT minatrix. I've owned them from sling to mature adults. Minatrix is probably the only Avic sling one can readily identify by a picture. Even young A. laeta and A. versicolor are both blue. Though A laeta always seems to be a slightly different hue.

Regardless, this is not a minatrix. I suggest @Grimsin you take a look at more minatrix slings. It's the only Avic that retains the abdominal striping into adulthood.

@Grimsin It is NOT a versi either. It's clear you aren't familiar with Avics, based on your thought it may be versi and that's OK. Neither was I when I first started. I strongly suggest you read about Avics if you decide to get more.

@Grimsin A. minatrix aren't blue either. That T is blue! :D Plus, their abdomen is far more defined and the abdominal red/orange is BRIGHT.

I can't tell you what it definitely is, no one can a this point.
