I tried to sex this spider’s molt, and I could not find any evidence of a spermatheca at all. However I saw the little white setae on the furrow and I am wondering if this could be indicative of a female? What are your thoughts??
At this size with magnification, you should be able to see evidence of spermathecae when you examine a molt. I'd go with the conclusion you reached after looking at a molt....ventral sexing is not 100% accurate. If you have doubts, then look closely at the next molt to confirm it.
