Not always, I don't breed but my SO does so I watch alot of breeding vids so i know what he is talking about, I have seen some very small males on Daves little beasties, and have heard Tom Moran talk about it on his vids too, sometimes the males are just small, like with ppl they come in alsorts of shapes and sizes. According to Dave it doesn't matter if the males small all you have to worry about is can he reach. I have everything crossed he can and you get lots of beautiful baby's, he is very handsome btw small or not.

oh absolutely but that is just why i would love to get an average, at what size did they mature for a couple of keepers? is mine truly below the curve or was my expectation wrong and this is average.
thx, and you are right i am sure he will have no trouble getting the job done, i just dont really want to try and pair him with my own female since she is about the same size, probably not adult yet, though he did drum a lot before i rehomed her
and i really dont want to pair siblings if possible
As far as I am aware males will drum at any female in the vicinity regardless if she's ready or not, but I have no idea on average size for a male . @The Spider House you had a mm how big was he?
He was easily 6 inches. I currently have a MM P met and he is the same. 4.5 is a little on the small side IME but hey, I am s mature male and I am on the short side. Still managed to create 4 wonderful daughters so it's all about potency
