A tiny surprise this morning, yesterday my chilobrachys came (The Pleiades/ 7 sister... we hope😆) and this morning I have my first moult from one! Celaeno Chilobrachys Vietnam blue/blue Vietnam (not sure seller has wrote it both ways) its a tiny moult but all looks good little one hasn't come out the travel tube yet but I am sure we will once we are hard enough to dig only a pic of the tiny moult as the tiny tube thing Celaeno came in is frosted. (I want to call it a centrifugal vial 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Well done Celaeno 😊

Little Avic. purpurea had a molt today. Looking male to me at this point, but I'm not great at the small molts, so fingers crossed that I'm wrong. 20240131_103500.jpg

I've found 3 molts so far today.

0.0.1 Cyriocosmus ritae, 0.875" DLS:

0.0.1 Psalmopoeus emeraldus, 1.0" DLS:

0.1 Tapinauchenius plumipes, 4.0" DLS. The camera doesn't come close to picking up all the shades of purple showing on this girl...

Earlier today my 0.0.1 Davus ruficeps molted. It's a little over 1.5" DLS now, and you can just barely make out the blue starting to become visible on the legs if you try real hard...

Also, here's a freshly molted Cyriocosmus ritae sling, around 1.25" DLS:

Apparently I've got a thing for black and orange spiders. 😆

Edit:
I've also got a thing for blue spiders. The last of my 5 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Blue juveniles to molt this time around made an appearance tonight. Those blue legs reflecting the flashlight are striking!

My second smaller Avic motled. At first everything seemed to have went okay but obviously it didn't. It's back legs are not working right. And it's almost in sort of death curl. Day two and really no change. I'm hoping for the best but I dunno. I dropped in another water dish by it and sprinkled some water near it. Time will tell I suppose.

Growing like weeds. Their ventral sides should be just an absolute sapphire blue by now. Here's one of their sackmates after the most recent molt:

I haven't been able to catch one all the way out of the burrow yet, but a couple of them hang with their ventral side against the enclosure in the web tube and it just glows blue. Crazy pretty!

Moult pic for reference 20240204_120724.jpg

Orddu and Orgoch my other 2 thrixopelma ockerti slings moulted too and I am very happy to say even though the moults were only 1.5 inches and one was chewed pretty sure I have 3 females 🥳

Noticed about 4 days ago that my T. verdezi was looking really dark, figured she was in pre-molt and held off feeding. I didn't see the molt so finally last night I gave a pre-killed pinhead to see if she'd take it. She was on the surface this morning instead of the pinhead and I did a double-take: she's not just darker, she got colors!! I pulled out the enclosure and sure enough there's a little molt in the back! That's two of my slings that got juvenile colors in the last 30 days!

Photo is really poor quality because Moria's very skittish and dives for the burrow if I get real close or shine a light on the enclosure.

Another crappy pic, but happy to say Ms pulchripes made it out of that old dress just fine.

Also E murinus, Kuyuri, came out post-molt at about 2” and is now hunting for him/herself. Was really great to see his one hunt for the first time.
