"bark chips"?

The bark chips are the product "Repti-Bark". I've used it for over five years with no problems. I just don't moisten it much. They are used in tanks for photographic purposes mainly and this particular tank the Santo Domingo's were bred in was used exactly that way.

As for the "perfect" substrates, I recommend Exo-Terra's "Coco Husk" and Carrib Sea's "CocoSoft" and/or "CocoChips".

It would be interesting to see a behaviour of a T in a tank which is half filled with bark chips and half filled with peat and/or cocohusk.

Ps.: Todd, on the picture, the leg of the female, the one that stands about perpendicularly to the left side of the picture (almost horizontally), is that leg IV?
