Does anyone have a rough idea of the value of a female. I found one in some grapes that I had boughten from the store. I love the little girl, however, my girlfriend doesn't much adore it like I do lol ... How much could these little guys be sold for?
wow Vemon that was much more information than I had ever expected. Thank you so much! I am an experience tarantula keeper; however; all species are different so I'm going to say im a noobie at this one. The idea where you mentioned the airholes at the bottom, to asure the lid doesnt have the...
I was sitting at work the other day and a customer (who I know from frequent visits) came in with a container, which has one of those little guys in it (female by the looks of it) and simply left it with me. I have no idea how to care for these little guys, or good sources of food. I've left him...
those prices are extremly high. I only paid $65 for my Ornamental which was about 3" ... I for one would not purchase those, take a look at some other options if they are available to you
Well; my name is John and im from Ontario, Canada. I've been into inverts for as long as I can remember. Currently at home i have 2 G. roseas, P. marinus, T. Blondi, B smithi and P regalis which unfortunatly passed on 2 days ago after getting loose some how :( (he still counts though). Inverts...
I'm going to play the ladder. I guess nothing "truely" prepares you for having a high toxic T or an aggresive T for that matter. If you are care; then you simply are careful. Even with my G. rosea im careful; it's not as if they're highly aggresive but they are STILL a tarantula. I myself both...
hahaha I have a buddy whos lividum did the same thing... oddly enough; it burried itself and never once was found using the tunnels. None of them linked itself to its hide; so im not quite sure of its tactical importance to the T lol .. strange T :?
Hey everyone... been away for a while; bands been travelling quite a bit; so i havent had access to a computer... but here I am anyways (if u have a weak stomach; close ur eyes)
I went to the local pet store yesterday after work... and was shocked to find them carrying an H.lividum and an Avic there... needless to say; the lividum was on woodchips; no waterdish and in a 5gl. tank... part of me wanted to slap the owner; but hey.. it happens. The avic was in the exact...
I hope everything goes well for you; naturally after a loss; things will seem stressful; but no need to worry. I wish you the best with the upcoming T molt :D
I remember when I ordered my H. lividum; i went down to the store to pick it up and the owner of the place brings it out and un-causiously opens the container while it still being in his grasp. The lividum came out; struck him twice and went charging towards a near-by bottle and sat next to it...
I'm sure it will be absolutely fine. My C. fasciatum is small; but molted in a small area... I'm not even sure how he flipped himself over to be honest; but none the less. Stood on top of the molt for about a day; feeling victorious over his achievment :D ... good luck on the molt; take pics and...
It's hard to say if baking it would do what you need it to do; likely it would; but they; why take the chance. You'd be alot safer just buying some new ground rather than running a rick of harming or killing your T; then spending 4 times as much for a new one :D
