My hubby and I share the hobby, but he was arachnophobic when I got my first T. We are up to 22 permanent residents now, and looking at getting 2 more, hopefully 3. But the addiction grows, and it seems the T's get more expensive {D
Found this little guy in the garden this morning. I googled it and came up with a Green Lacewing. Very interesting though, watching it eat, it has a neck movement of a mammal.
 These are great pictures, what a blast that would have been to have the opportunity to be there. You really did a great job on the photos though :)
I lost a B. smithi about 5 weeks ago, just a sling (1/2"), and nowhere to be seen. Almost a year ago we had 2 slings disappear, a 1/4" G. rosea and a 1/4" A. seemanni. We never found the A. seemanni, but we did find the G. rosea, a pink spider on pink carpet, about 10 inches from it's old...
I have hardly seen this one since I got it, and there it was tonight showing its beautiful self off :)
Sorry about the crummy quality of pictures, have to make due with the camera I have for now :(

I thought I would share these pictures, my female Short-tailed opossum was out of the nest getting a bite to eat, with one baby riding on her back (there are usually 4 or 5 hitching a ride). The pictures are just too cute not to share.
For anyone not familiar with these animals, they are...
We are leaving them, we just shut down our other tank due to the motor burning out on the pump, we just didn't want to replace it again (long story how it happened). The parents are protecting the fry, but the other fish are having some luck getting them. If I had the time and energy to get...
It seems everything in my house is meant to have babies  . The angelfish were acting weird last night, I never though much about it, and my hubby shut the light off in the tank. Today, I look, and there are eggs in there, and all but 21 look fertile to me. The parents were protecting...
Welcome to the wonderful world of Tarantulas. My first tarantula was an A. avic, not a G. rosea as most peoples, but I eventually got 3 G. rosea's and am now up to 11 T's. It really is an addiction, got to collect them all you know ;)
