How long after pairing can I expect an eggsac from my C. huahini? She is recently moulted so she wont rush... Also should I wait 30 days after she creates the eggsac to pull it? Thanks
I know you should let the T harden up before breeding but I didn't realise she was fresh moulted she looked plump and a normal brown colour so I thought it would be alright, it wasn't until the male lifted her up that I saw the red fangs... I was also in a rush because I have had the MM since...
I bought an AF C. huahini a couple of days ago and paired her with my MM last night. Everything went ok however I noticed that her fangs are still red so she is freshly moulted, will this cause any problems with the breeding process or eggs? At least I know that she won't moult before laying the...
I have just realised that my Chilobrachys sp. Kaeng Krachan is a mature male after about 4 months since he moulted! I always thought his pedipalps looked like a MMs and he has been very active and refusing food but the thing is... he is only 3 inches at the most! Is this normal? I know females...
I have just received my AF C. huahini from The Spider Shop and she is very big and healthy:)
My question is: How long should I let her settle into her enclosure before introducing my MM? Also should I try to simulate anything that happens in the wild such as temperature change or change in...
So Ive had my T. stirmi for about a year now. I bought it as a sling and it is now around 4 inches. Everything has been fine so far, it had 1 bad moult as a sling which messed up one fang so that it constantly points down but it doesn't seem to effect it at all. About 2 days ago I noticed it...
Heat mat is on the side. Don’t think it’s moulting because the bald spot on the back is pale. There does seem to be some kind of pale liquid on top of the sling between the abdomen and Cephalothorax. I don’t think it’s the liquid that sometimes leaks before moults, might just be poop.
So I ordered a Theraphosa Stirmi sling from spidersworld.eu and it is not moving but I don’t think that it’s dead. I’ve heated it’s enclosure with a heat mat and it’s on some very moist substrate. Should I just leave it be and hope for the best or is there a way I can tell if it’s alive without...
Yeah I should of been more clear, I was wondering at what age the triangle would appear or if it would be there as a sling, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see
