I'm gonna buy her a permanent house soon what size should i aim for? I bought way too big enclosure for My p regalis she bararely move away from a spot
I wanna update you guys with some good news! The p.regalis female forced a molt and now have fangs that is working. I think i saw her eat from the bug soup once which i made once a week or so. Never saw the bug soup decrease in mass, so she prob had enough energy left for a force molt to...
@AnObeseHippo but p.ornatas are sexual dimorphism even at a young age. To me it looks like a female according to this one https://tarantulaforum.com/threads/p-ornata-sexing-differences.2788/
Sry for your loss. Yeah there is a risk that she may die and i actually expect that but i will try my best with bug soup once a week. Thanks for the advice. The most frustration part about this is that i bought her in premolt and she molted 2 weeks later with no fangs, ah well it does happen...
That's some really good news to hear man. Her abdomen looks to be in decent size even after a molt. I'll try to find some wax worms where i live, if i don't find wax worms would superworms work then?
You gave me some hope in this case
I can't tell that for 100% if the fangs are damaged or completely gone. After just a slight vibration she rush out the hide and jumps the cricket and i can see her struggling with the "top of the fangs" close to the head or what i should say. They are moving but she fails to fang into the...
Makes sense. Gonna get some superworms on monday. Poor girl is so hungry and tries so bad to kill the cricket so i took it out. I also recognized that she was walking in a weird way, hard to explain but it looks oddly like.
dang, i bought a p.regalis for not so long ago it was in premolt when i got her. She molted and 3 weeks later (today and earlier) i tried to feed her but she cant kill the cricket, she struggles with the fangs i see. So most likely both the fangs does not work at all, which sucks. I have a...
Hard to tell, i can't see a molt because she made such a good hide. But she locked herself up with webbing the first time i got her and she didn't eat so i was guessing she was in premolt. I was checking the enclosure daily til i saw her legs sticking out. That's when i tried to feed her and she...
I think she is already harden. The weird part is just that she was hunting the cricket but was just standing over the cricket at one time. Never seen that before. Maybe she just wanted to scare the cricket away or something
I bought this girl 04/11/2018 and i got her in premolt i think and it kinda looks like she molted but i'm not sure about that.
I tried to feed her again yesterday with a cricket and i left the cricket there for a while. I came back and i saw the p.regalis stood over the cricket and when the T...
Nope not all. Most of the times i meet my friends outside my home or at their place. Also my T's is in a room. I don't talk about my tarantula hobby to people that's not interested. Also i dont care what my friends think about that ^^
I've had a success with my b.dubia colony that i feed to my T's. I feed the b.dubias with Fish flakes for growth and carrots/oranges for moisture.
I only give them a moderate dose of fish flakes every now and than.
What made me think if fish flakes are good or bad is that i read that a high...
Haha that's funny. Mine can be under the substrate in her tunnel and when i drop some water she runs out and throws a threat posture( in premolt), can't relax at all lol
