I hope so haha, been doing my research for a while now and i have the temps and humility pretty much prefect. I have only had him in there for a couple days though so he is still very shy and getting used to the new tank but i hope he likes it :)
Been working on this set up for the passed 2 weeks, revamped my 2 smaller tanks, added a cupboard in the middle of them and then built a 9x4x4 tank for my new baby Savannah monitor and set the others on top. Took a while and was a bit of a pain but im really happy with how it turned out :)
No worries everyone i found it on the website and it says there is nothing added to it

But wasnt 100% cuz of the child safety thing so i took advice and called the company, just waiting for a call back cuz i had to leave a message...
Yeah that label worried me a little as well but im pretty sure its just on it cuz some kids dumb enough to eat dirt. As for my old sub yeah it was just getting way too dry and just becoming a hassle, we keep the heat on in the winter and it refuses to keep moister. It was drying out so fast that...
Theres no ingredient list on the back lol that's why i wasn't sure i should get it or not, But the guy at lowes informed me there was nothing in it its just dirt. I wish they had other stuff but this was literally the only "top soil" they had, everything else was potting soil and other stuff :/...
It took a long time but the coco fiber/peat moss mix im using has started to no longer hold moisture, so im switching to just plain top soil but ill mix some peat into that as well. This was the only plain old nothing added top soil i could find at lowes but just wanted to make sure it was ok to...
Any fellow Canadians go to the pet expo this passed weekend, and if so did you end up picking anything new up? They had such amazing prices on T's and different lizards and snakes. I ended up buying a box of 1000 superworms for only 15 bucks (which is amazing for me considering its normaly 10$...
What are your experiences with using different food items? For the longest time i only used super worms to feed my T and always got the same reaction. I would crush its head and toss it in, she would walk up to it strike at in once and then just gently pick it up and crawl off into her hide with...
Everything went really well but the beetles ended up dying sooner than i had wanted, they had a tons of babies (i didnt count but i would say at least 100 super tiny superworms wiggling around) but some of them didn't fall through the mesh like they were supposed to and ended up growing and ate...
I went out and bought her some crickets as an apology gift :) and they worked. I was worried that she was refusing food but she attacked those crickets like no ones business.. I guess shes just board of the worms.:banghead:
Over the passed week i have been keeping a close eye on Carnage and her weird little pulsing thing she had been doing. For a whole week now she has stopped doing it and was showing signs of improvement, she was more active in roaming the tank and i have even caught her drinking water a few times...
Quick little update, she refused food yesterday and again today when i tried but at least she is acting normal now, very out in the open exploring the tank and actually drinking water. It has been a whole week since i saw her do any sort of pulsing so thats a plus :D
The lack of eating might...
Yeah they probably just stumble across it by accident and end up scavenging it. I dont think they actually go looking for the food item, as like you said if its not making any movement or attracting the T in any way then i dont see how they would know its there. Maybe spidey senses?
I use water dishes they sell at the pet store, they come in a pack of 3 one large, one med, and one small and they look like rocks (they also sell ones that look like little hollowed out tree stumps and look awesome). They only cost 4-5 bucks for the pack and will last you probably forever, not...
