    G pulchripes concerns

Are those helpful or is there a different angle? Like I said on my original post, this is less curled up than previous days.

    G pulchripes concerns

I have a g pulchripes that is 7 years old, honestly not sure if it's a male or female bc the handful of molts I've ever gotten from it are never in good shape. This tarantula last molted a few years ago and has only been interested in eating 3 times since then no matter the prey I offer. The...

    Incorporating Ts in your house

I've been mainly thinking about a cabinet of some kind. I don't want to hide my babes in the closet or something like that. I just need to find the right cabinet to tweak for ventilation.

    Incorporating Ts in your house

Hey everyone! I'm moving soon and while the place is overall bigger than what I have now, the layout is way different/open and my Ts won't really have the same seclusion they have now. So what I'm wondering is how/where are your Ts in your home? Especially those of you that have cats, how are...

    Versi accident

So idk what possessed my cat today since we've always had terrariums of Ts and reptiles of various sizes and he has never disturbed them before but today my versi sling was knocked off of a shelf. The container remained closed so she must be in there but the substrate is everywhere and I can't...

Making your own Crested Gecko diet?

one thing that could be the best of both worlds is using a pre-balanced food mix but adding various types of fruit purees. Mine really loves berries and watermelon.

@Dorifto I know! I'm pretty excited about since every previous molt was completely destroyed. My local zoo as a molt on display that is vaguely ID'd and super old so I'm hoping they'll be interested

The molt is about 5 inches long. The molt wasn't pliable enough for me to lift the flap (if that's what it is) and I was concerned about ripping it.

    Goodbye Khaleesi

It's been a rough couple days.. my quince monitor passed away quite suddenly on Thursday. She was the epitome of health 24 hours before passing. This lizard was my baby. She came into my life almost 6 years ago. She was in poor health, wasn't socialized, wasn't respected, wasn't loved. I don't...

    grammostola pulchripes

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’ve done literally zero reading on breeding, is it dangerous for a male visiting a female’s enclosure? He’s very much a pet so I wouldn’t be willing to risk his health/life if the odds weren’t in his favor.

That's a good point about the edges of the vent, thanks!

    grammostola pulchripes

Ha I don’t think I’m quite ready for breeding and I wouldn’t have a way to responsibly rehome the babies if I managed to be successful. The bachelor life is probably pretty good though

    grammostola pulchripes

I finally got to see him briefly and I'm pretty positive that it's indeed a male :/

    caribena versi home

My versi sling is ready to be rehoused into something bigger. I have a juvenile arboreal container from Jamie's tarantulas standing by. Do you think the screen that's built into it is sufficient ventilation or should I melt more holes into it?

    grammostola pulchripes

I'm honestly not sure... I know how to determine sex from a molt but this one always destroys the molt. Maybe someone will be able to determine sex from the pics I'll take when it comes out from the hide.

    grammostola pulchripes

Yeah my instinct says that everything is totally fine, I just didn't expect this one meal to satiate for over a year and it's always nice to hear someone else confirm things. I do see it drink from time to time.
