A few weeks ago we picked up three young Indonesian water dragons with kinked tails who were otherwise completely healthy (the kiks seem to be hatching defects or old injuries rather than ricketts - they show no other signs of illness). Since then, two have moulted and grown and are active and healthy, but one seems to be doing everything he can to scare the wotsits off us.
A few days ago, after a particularly hot day, I took the lid off the tank to mist them and found him lying on his back looking thin and, well, dead. I lifted him up gently after he failed to respond to being misted or touched, and as soon as I had him close enough to me to take a good look at, he flipped over, shot off my fingers and scuttled off across the floor :wall:
Since then he's been a little more active, but over the last day or so he's weakened again and is looking very thin. He's reluctant to move or even to open his eyes, but when he does move is walking as usual. We've isolated him from the main tank and put him on kitchen roll with an abundant supply of crickets and a shallow water dish - we know he might just be the 'runt of the litter' and not destined to make it, but we'd like to do everything we possible can for him. Any ideas anyone?
