You must be using coco fiber (funny how I knew that). I get it too and eventually will change the substrate but have not noticed harmful effects yet. It is probably not good for the tarantulas but I am not sure if it is harmful either. A substrate change will help but it will be back. I beliee the spores are in the material and are not from you. Although it could be from the crickets...assuming you use those too.

That's quite a bit of information from almost nothing, K2. I'm not saying it's wrong. (honestly, though, I use coco fiber for most of my Ts, damp ones included, and have never had that happen...) Just could use some confirmation of some details first....

Ir8one, could you post a picture?

Ur right on both accounts. I do use coco core and I do feed crickets. Just a litle shocked cause I have been using coco for about 8 years and never had it before. But have have used crickets for a new supplier and that be its.

Sorry I couldn't get ne good pix. I have already sanitized the enclosure.
I'm going to go through the rest of my enclosure to night. If I find more ill try to take beter pix
Thank u much

If it looks like yellow BBs clustered together, worry not. I've had this in an H. mac enclosure for 3+ years and no ill effects. I think it is a fungus common to tropical soil mixes, possibly Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.
