3 months ago my little 3 1/2 inch parahybana molted into a small juvie... Now been in premolt since the 14th of November, he flipped over during the night! :D Nothing is happening right now but when i get home from school i should have a new looking spider! im so excited... i just wish i had a camera and i wish it was a female but its looking like a male.. which sucks but its worth it! This little devil has molted 4 times in one year which doesnt seem like much but you should see the difference in the molts! Each bigger than the other... I love this species {D {D

Wow nice! Mine molted yesterday and may be at the 3 1/2 to 4" mark. I'm thinking mine is female though:)

L.P.'s are so awesome!

I hope not its been over 2 months since my 1.5-1.75 inch molted, and it hasn't even shown signs of being in premolt yet at all. But yeah, some do seem to grow at a uber fast rate.

Really, mine started at 1/3 inch or so in June, so its not doing too bad, a good 5 times bigger now. But I don't think mine is going to manage the legendary 5 inches in the first year that these guys are often cited for. Thats ok though, it will make it there eventually!

And hey, maybe these slower growers are simply slower because they are girls! That would be cool!

Congrats on the molt Squeaky!

My B. vagans sling is growing bigger/faster than my 2 LPs. Everyone talks about how fast they should grow, but I keep mine well fed and warm and have just chosen a slower pace.
