Been in the hobby for a while but mostly dabbling with this species and that species as a keeper but I've always had a special place for the Xenesthis genus. Most of you will consider me a rank amateur and I get that and I really don't care, ego plays no place in my hobby. I come here asking for advice about breeding of the Xenesthis intermedia because it is a goal of mine to produce a sac which will go to local breeders. I have some knowledge about what is involved, I have several Xenesthis intermedia, Xenesthis immanis and Xenesthis megascopula which are now becoming mature so the next step is obvious. Are there specific environmental conditions you have to provide? Specific temps? A simulated "rainy season"? Are they a species where the sac is best left with the mother until they come out or incubated? I'm not here to be competition for any of the breeders on here, it will be a one and done situation so not competition for your money. Pic just because I love looking at them

Have you already read the breeding reports for Xenesthis immanis? I believe they're pretty similar. Good luck. I have a MF immanis that I want to try to pair after her next molt.

I had not seen any, I will look

Hmm so no cooling period, no rainy season, just a raise of humidity that may or may not have induced the laying, interesting.

Did you attempt breeding your Xenesthis intermedia? If so, any tips? My female's last molt was 5 inches, so she is getting close to being ready. I'm looking for more information on breeding just to be prepared for when the time comes. From what I could find it seems like increasing humidity is the most important thing, but unfortunately there is not a lot of info. 20221217_134804.jpg
